Romero Returns to Palo Alto Networks in Regional Sales Manager Role

Christian Romero describes himself as one who’s “passionate about technology and enjoys helping public-sector organizations unlock innovation to solve complex problems with a clear ROI across business and IT functions.”

Christian Romero, a technology professional with a background in networking, systems integration and sales, has been named by Palo Alto Networks as the regional sales manager for PRISMA SD-WAN and SASE for state and local education (SLED) in the western region.

Romero is returning to Palo Alto from Red Hat, where he had been account manager for public sector and health care. He was previously with Palo Alto as a named account manager for SLED and then as technical sales manager for cloud security in SLED-West. Before that, Romero held sales and account management roles with Netvad and Ruckus Wireless.

In his LinkedIn profile, Romero describes himself as one who’s “passionate about technology and enjoys helping public-sector organizations unlock innovation to solve complex problems with a clear ROI across business and IT functions.” He says he’s “focused on helping my customers transform their network and develop a long-term success plan around application delivery: SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Data Center Transformation, Hybrid Cloud, Security and IT Operations.”

Romero, who lives in the greater Sacramento area, is a graduate of American River College, having studied computer networking management with a concentration in Linux. He has numerous professional credentials from, among others, Amazon Web Services, Cisco and Apple.
