Sales Veteran Olson to Lead California SLED Sales for Alteryx

Amos Olson, a longtime technology sales professional, has joined Alteryx as an account executive for state and local government and education in California.

In joining Alteryx, Olson brings decades of experience in the SLED sector, most recently with Informatica. His other previous affiliations include Flexera, IBM, Citrix and Semantec.

Olson has worked in various capacities with multiple departments in state government including the Department of Child Support Services, the Department of Health Care Services, the Department of State Hospitals, the California Department of Technology, the state Franchise Tax Board and the Department of Health Care Access and Information.

“I have led initiatives aimed at combating fraud, notably enhancing capabilities at the Franchise Tax Board through the Enterprise to Data to Revenue (EDR) program, resulting in the collection of $8 billion in tax revenue within its inaugural year,” he said. “Central to my approach is the cultivation of values that resonate with clients, leading to successful projects that enhance citizen services, improve health-care delivery and elevate educational outcomes. Innovation and thought leadership are integral to my career, aligning closely with the vision of my clients.”

Olson has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Idaho State University and a master’s in theology from Concordia Theological Seminary. In his free time, the Auburn resident enjoys winemaking, gardening and landscaping.
