San Diego awards $91 million IT contract to CGI

The City of San Diego has signed a five-year, $91 million contract with CGI Group Inc. to support and modernize more than 165 applications across 18 departments, the company announced today.

"This contract is strategic to crafting the next generation of application services for the City of San Diego," said Jeff Leveroni, San Diego’s Director of Information Technology, in a statement. "I’m looking forward to working with CGI to increase performance, create efficiencies and reduce costs for the City."

CGI will assume day-to-day responsibility for the City’s application development functions and maintenance operations, according to the announcement. Expert consultants will bring service level agreements and IT governance processes to improve performance and efficiency.
