The event, presented by Techwire sister publication Government Technology, will feature a full roster of speakers including leaders in gov tech. It’s open to those in the public sector.
“Government Technology’s passion is promoting best practices and spurring innovation in the public sector – more important than ever in challenging times like these,” says the event announcement. “The Virtual Digital Government Summit offers a unique opportunity to explore a variety of technology topics and possibilities.”
In all, about 40 speakers from the public and private sectors are scheduled to speak at the event, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., followed by a 40-minute virtual networking reception.
Tech leaders from the public and private sectors who are scheduled to speak include:
- Peter Loo, acting CIO for Los Angeles County.
- Ted Ross, CIO for the city of Los Angeles.
- Jagjit Dhaliwal, deputy CIO for the Los Angeles County Office of the CIO.
- Mohammed Al Rawi, CIO for the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office.
- Jonathan Behnke, CIO for the city of San Diego.
- Alan Cox, executive vice president of e.Republic* and publisher of Government Technology and Techwire.
- Teri Takai and Phil Bertolini, vice presidents of e.Republic.
- Dustin Haisler, chief innovation officer for e.Republic.

The conference will be presented via Zoom for Government, a FedRAMP-certified infrastructure with advanced security controls that is used for meetings and webinars by the Department of Homeland Security and numerous other federal, state and local agencies. Zoom for Government uses one of the largest secured networks of government-specific data centers in the country and meets stringent security standards.
