
Snowflake has promoted Zachary Oxman from sales director for the public sector/West to the position of district manager for SLED West, covering the 16 Western states (not including Texas).
Oxman describes himself in his LinkedIn profile as a “technology translator, skilled at bridging the gap between business needs and IT requirements,” and as a “change agent, experienced in guiding organizations through business and digital transformations.” He cites his extensive experience dealing with the state Legislature, bringing complex technology goals, topics and agendas to Senate and Assembly members and their staff.
“I am extremely excited to grow the Snowflake practice in public sector across the Western U.S. and help to bring the same value we’ve shown so far with our State of California customers and interested parties and future partners in data,” Oxman told Techwire. “Data for Good is a big focus area for us, and we look forward to engaging with administrations and public sector organizations across the West.”
Before joining Snowflake, Oxman was most recently with AppDynamics, first as regional sales manager for California and Enterprise, then for SLED West, encompassing California, Washington, Arizona, Hawaii and Idaho.
Oxman has a bachelor’s in business economics from UC Riverside and lives with his family in Folsom.
Overseeing Snowflake’s government sales nationally is newly named Vice President for Public Sector Ted Girard, an industry veteran who most recently held that same position with Okta. Girard, based in the Washington, D.C., area, has been in tech sales and sales management since 1996. He received his bachelor’s in economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and his MBA from Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
