The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office — the fifth-largest in the nation — plans to release the RFP this fall, with an award set to follow in the spring.

The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office is planning to release a solicitation this fall for a commercial off-the-shelf or custom solution to replace their legacy case management system (CMS).

Under the planned request for proposals (RFP), the chosen vendor(s) will be responsible for implementing a modern, extendable and flexible CMS hosted on a cloud-based platform, including the needed software, as well as implementation and maintenance and other tools to meet the business and technical needs of the office, its staff and other criminal justice entities.

The RFP is planned to be released this fall, and an award is anticipated for next spring. The DA’s Office would prefer not to be contacted before the RFP is released.

Details of the RFP, including the statement of work, will not be shared in advance of the formal solicitation release. Vendors or their representatives will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn the details of this RFP after its official release, during the question-and-answer period that will follow.

The RFP will be posted and responses managed via the county’s procurement portal, for which all vendors are encouraged to subscribe and register in advance of the release of the RFP.

The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office is the fifth-largest district attorney’s office in the nation, with more than 300 attorneys and 1,000 employees.
