Yim, a resident of Incline Village, Nev., began his career on Capitol Hill, where he served as deputy press secretary for a U.S. Senate technology task force before moving west to join e.Republic* and its Center for Digital Government. He told Industry Insider — California that he credits his time at e.Republic for his “foundational knowledge and strategic understanding of the private- and public-sector relationship.”
He went on to lead SLED sales and business development for cybersecurity companies including Virsec, Zimperium, and Mandiant/FireEye.
“Understanding client needs and translating complex technologies into compelling value propositions is what I’ve done throughout my career, and I look forward to doing the same with Socure, the most accurate and inclusive identity verification platform for fraud elimination,” Yim told Industry Insider.
Yim received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Nevada, Reno. As an active community leader, he lends his expertise through board service with the Reno Philharmonic and the Honors College at the University of Nevada, Reno. He also mentors and volunteers with the New York City-based Per Scholas program to open up technology career pathways for underserved communities.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time in nature through golfing, skiing and fly fishing.
