- Geospatial developer (IT Specialist II), who will serve as “an expert technical resource to support the design, development, deployment and maintenance of Cal OES GIS applications and configurations,” the job posting says. “The incumbent will ensure adequate documentation for ongoing maintenance and support; provide innovative desktop and mobile-ready geospatial Web mapping solutions to Cal OES internal and external partners; assist with Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance issues; ensure applications are optimized; and integrate GIS information with other Cal OES IT applications. In addition to GIS application development, configuration and support, the incumbent will provide support to the Data and Geospatial team as needed. The responsibilities of the managers, according to the job posting, include:
