The state Employment Development Department is seeking a SQL server database specialist (IT specialist II) in EDD’s Infrastructure Services Division. The specialist will support the organization’s enterprise IT operations, including all associated hardware/software components, and the confidential and sensitive data used at EDD, according to the job posting. “The incumbent is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and operations of the organization’s statewide information technology systems. Additionally, the incumbent acts as a SQL Technical Architect on systems software/hardware projects, and/or on information systems.” The position has a monthly salary range of $7,014 to $9,399, and the application deadline is July 25.
The California Department of Justice is recruiting for a digital forensic investigator (IT Specialist I) to serve on a team of advanced digital forensics investigators, specializing in digital forensics, big data, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), electronic information systems and social media forensics, according to the job posting. “The incumbent performs a variety of tasks within the digital investigations and cybersecurity incident response lifecycle, as well the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). Activities include digital forensic examinations of computers, servers, networks, mobile devices and other digital devices with the purpose of identifying, collecting, and presenting data for preservation and later introduction as evidence in court or other legal proceedings. The ITS I demonstrates advanced knowledge pertaining to data storage and management, installation, configuration, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery, relating to personal computing, application, server, security, storage, and network infrastructure.” The monthly salary range is $5,297 to $8,570, and the application deadline is July 24.
The Secretary of State’s Office is seeking a Salesforce administrator (IT specialist I) to help support the high-profile Cal-Access Replacement System project to be developed for the secretary of state using Salesforce and AppExchange technologies, according to the job posting. “The incumbent is responsible for Cal-Access System user account management, reports, dashboards, workflows and other routine maintenance tasks including regular internal system audits and upgrade/patch release preparation. The incumbent acts as the liaison between users, vendors and CARS project team to support current and future customer requirements. The Secretary of State’s Office is also seeking a Salesforce developer to be responsible for the design, code, developing workflow and customizing the business solutions, implementation, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform, according to the job posting.
