Tech Moves: Amy Cox-O’Farrell, Lee Mosbrucker, Raymond Basiri, David Chase

Amy Cox-O’Farrell is the new CIO for the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), says spokesman Russ Heimerich. Amy has been in state service since 1977, beginning her career at the Department of Health Services. She has worked in various positions at DCA, including serving as division chief in the Office of Information Services, enforcement chief in the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education and most recently as chief of the Information Technology Division at the Contractors State License Board. She starts work as CIO on Feb. 13.

Former state enterprise architect Lee Mosbrucker has taken a new position at Optum. Optum is a health services business dedicated to making the health system work better for everyone, says its website. Lee’s title is still enterprise architect.

According to the SCSA website, Raymond Basiri is now the Deputy Agency Information Officer for the State and Consumer Services Agency. Raymond first began working with the Department of General Services in 1992 as an engineer, and moved to DMV in 2007. See his full bio here.

Yesterday was David Chase’s first day as CIO of the Department of Housing and Community Development. David previously served as manager of the Technology Agency’s Policy Office. Before working in the agency, he was with the Office of Technology Review, Oversight and Security (OTROS) in the Department of Finance and has been with the state for 21 years.
