Tech Moves: Ortiz-Torres, Champlion, Bonta & Open Positions

Technology Agency Secretary Carlos Ramos last week swore in Veronica Ortiz-Torres, associate secretary of digital education who will report to recently appointed Adelina Zendejas, assistant secretary of broadband and digital literacy.

Also sworn in at the Technology Agency was former Energy Commission CIO Rita Champlion who has joined the agency as a principal in the Program and Portfolio Management Office. Champlion will be embedded oversight on the CA-MMIS project.

The Energy Commission is actively recruiting to fill the vacancy created by Champlion’s departure. The recruitment bulletin will be posted soon, according to commission spokesperson Amy Morgan. Currently, Steve Bonta is acting chief information officer.

The Technology Agency is also recruiting to fill Data Processing Manager II and Senior Information Systems Analyst (Specialist) positions in the Program and Portfolio Management Office, among other positions. See their website for more information.
