Ryan Chambers’ three decades in the tech sector began in software engineering, with subsequent roles including project manager and information architecture consultant before he moved into sales, sales management and business development.

“I am thrilled to be joining Okta,” Chambers told Industry Insider — California. “I believe in delivering value to the important work our California state agencies and departments do every day in serving the state’s citizens. With Okta, I know we can help by both improving the ‘citizen experience’ with government services as well as by furthering the security and enablement of the state workforce in doing their jobs.”

Robert Ochoa, area director for Okta’s U.S. Public Sector and State, Local and Education in the West, said he’s pleased to have Chambers on his team.

“We are very excited to have Ryan join Okta’s U.S. Public Sector SLED West team,” Ochoa told Industry Insider. “In this pivotal role, Ryan will be leading Okta’s state of California customer advocacy interests, furthering partnerships and driving business outcomes that most impact the state and the citizens of California. Okta’s mission is to be the foundation for secure connections between people and technology — anyone to anything.”

Before joining Okta, Chambers’ most recent affiliations include Deep Instinct, Splunk, SAS, Oracle and Informatica. He is based in Davis and earned his bachelor of science degree in computer science and music from Boston University.
