One of the grand pooh-bahs of California State IT, a ParkZone Stryker modeler extraordinaire, and a dear friend of TLTV has announced he is hanging up his spurs. Famous (or as Teri Takai was known to say, infamous) for his frank demeanor and the one always ready to question in his mind the puzzling direction of the powers that be, he will be sorely missed. Alan was never one to shy away from the slings and arrows of bucking city hall, whether it was outrages rates or bureaucratic reporting requirements.
Alan was often the only one willing to speak up and point out issues that many of his colleagues agreed with, but were less courageous to broach. This at times cost him his membership privileges at certain of the finest council meetings; however, undeterred Alan was not one to sacrifice the truth on the altar of inclusion. He liked the hot water, I think he felt as Chesterton did, that it kept him clean.
