
Cool has more than 20 years’ experience in public-sector technology, including six years in a senior IT leadership role. He was recently the IT division manager for Monterey County, and had been chief information officer for the city of Ventura and, in Texas, for Haltom City.
Cool has a broad background in private- and public-sector IT, having worked in engineering, networks, procurement and a variety of other roles.
Cool earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in information technology and administrative management from Central Washington University. He received a Government CIO certification (CGCIO) from PTI and Rutgers University and is also Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL v4 Foundation certified. He also holds a CISSP Training Certificate and is a Certified Scrum Master.
