Tracking the Spend: $2.5M by CHHS for Function-Specific Software in 2023

The California Health and Human Services Agency spent $2,562,013 with six vendors last year for business function-specific software, according to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System.

The California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) spent just over $2.6 million in 2023 on IT goods — the vast majority of it for business function-specific software.

In all, CHHS spent $2,562,013 in that category among six vendors, according to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System. (All numbers are rounded.) Those purchases, made between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2023, were:
  • $2,480,616 for System Solutions Inc., representing 96.82 percent of the year’s spend.
  • $49,300 for System Solutions DVBE Inc., representing 1.92 percent of the total.
  • $18,852 for Strato Communications Inc. (0.74 percent)
  • $6,492 for Relx Inc. (0.25 percent)
  • $4,384 for Acuity Technical Solutions LLC (0.17 percent)
  • $2,368 for Miller Mendel Inc. (0.09 percent)
