Tracking the Spend: $2.9M for Judicial Branch’s Top 5 Buys of IT Services in Q1

The nation’s largest state justice system spent $1,669,358 on the corresponding purchases in the first quarter of 2023.

The Judicial Branch of California spent just under $3 million in the first quarter of 2024 on its five largest purchases of IT services.

According to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System, the Judicial Branch spent $2,959,358 on license renewals and other services. This compares with $1,669,358 spent on the corresponding purchases in the first quarter of 2023. The Judicial Branch is the nation’s largest state justice system, with more than 2,000 judicial officers and more than 18,000 court workers.

From Jan. 1 through March 31 of this year, the Judicial Branch’s five largest buys of IT services were:
  • $920,708 for Microsoft Enterprise License Renewal, in a March 18 contract with Dell Marketing LP.
  • $721,490 in a March 1 Intra-Branch Agreement (IBA) with Madera County Superior Court as part of a court record digitization project.
  • $568,220 for Microsoft Unified Enterprise Support Renewal, in a March 18 contract with Softchoice Corp.
  • $492,100 for AT&T CalNet NextGen installation, in a March 20 contract with AT&T Corp.
  • $256,840 for “xFusion ISD21011-01” in a March 28 contract with xFusion Technologies Inc.
