According to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System, those five contracts were together valued at $10,343,810, with rounding. Cal OES is a Cabinet-level office responsible for overseeing and coordinating emergency preparedness, response, recovery and homeland security activities within the state.
The five top purchases were:
- $5,700,000 for equipment costs (FY 2022) in a cooperative agreement with Nokia Corp. that began Feb. 1 and runs through June 30, 2025.
- $4,088,503 for Motorola Solutions Inc. two-way radios and related equipment, in a statewide contract dated March 13.
- $244,500 for DocuSign government platform and related accessories and support, in a Software Licensing Program contract dated March 24 with Allied Network Solutions Inc.
- $167,040 for a one-year subscription to VMware shared cloud workspace and related support, in a March 30 DVBE contract with Granite Data Solutions. The contract runs through April 7, 2024.
- $143,767 for “3EM22715AH 9500 MPR SHELF KIT W/ALARM FAN EVO-HSV3,” apparently including a Nokia power distribution panel with fuse alarm card. The March 15 contract with Nokia of America Corp. was awarded under a cooperative agreement.
