Tracking the Spend: Department of Water Resources’ Top 5 Buys of IT Goods

DWR’s five largest purchases of IT goods in the first three months of 2022, totaling $6,128,049, included e-signature and security solutions as well as Ethernet hardware.

The state Department of Water Resources (DWR) spent just over $6 million in the first quarter of 2022 on its five largest buys of IT services, a state spending database shows.

DWR, one of many entities within the California Natural Resources Agency, made the following awards, totaling $6,128,049:
  • $4,154,599 to Solutions Simplified, in a Jan. 25 Software Licensing Program (SLP) contract, for the Classic DocuSign Platform.
  • $783,471 to Enterprise Networking Solutions in a March 9 SLP contract for VMware training and vouchers.
  • $519,863 with Castro International Consulting in a Feb. 11 statewide contract for Juniper Ethernet switching equipment.
  • $325,663 with Taborda Solutions in a March 15 SLP contract for ActiveCare Advanced, a Forescout product.
  • $304,453 for Tenable’s Continuous View event analysis and reporting solution, in a Jan. 19 SLP contract with Aurora Systems Consulting.
