Tracking the Spend: Entity Bought Servers, Routers, Cloud Infrastructure in Q2

The department’s six largest purchases of IT goods in the second quarter totaled just more than $3.5 million.

A key department in state government spent just more than $3.5 million in the second quarter of 2022 on its six largest purchases of IT goods.

According to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System, the California Highway Patrol’s largest buys of IT goods included servers, routers and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The six largest purchases, totaling $3,599,760 with rounding, were:
  • $948,856 in an April 25 statewide contract with Presidio Networked Solutions for routers — specifically “ASR-920-12SZ-IM, Cisco ASR920 Series - 12GE and 4-10GE, 1 IM slot.”
  • $574,024 in an April 5 statewide contract with Entisys Solutions (e360) for servers — specifically, “P28948-B21, HPE DL360 Gen10+ 8SFF NC CTO Svr.”
  • An additional $574,024 in an April 5 statewide contract with Entisys for “HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus 8SFF NC Configure-to-order Server - Part # P28948-B21.”
  • $523,084 in an April 11 statewide contract award with ePlus Technology Inc. for “HPE Data Center Care SVC - Core - Part # H2T12AC,” an edge-to-cloud IT environment service.
  • Two contracts for $489,886 each in an April 25 statewide contract award with Entisys for “HPE Synergy 12000 CTO Frame 10x Fan - Part # P06011-B21,” a composable, software-defined infrastructure for hybrid cloud environments.
