Tracking the Spend: Solutions Office Spent $11.6M on Five Biggest Q2 Buys

The Office of Technology and Solutions Integration, formerly known as the Office of Systems Integration, is part of the California Health and Human Services Agency.

The state Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (OTSI) spent $11.6 million on its five largest purchases of IT goods in the second quarter of 2023, including subscriptions, notebook computers, servers, and cloud software and tools.

OTSI, part of the California Health and Human Services Agency, was formerly known as the Office of Systems Integration. The old name indicated that the office only integrated systems, when in fact it handles the breadth of the technology life cycle, including programmatic support.

OTSI’s five largest purchases of IT goods from April 1 through June 30, which totaled $11,654,928 with rounding, included:
  • $9,438,894 for Salesforce Unlimited Edition Service Cloud, with a one-year term that began April 28. The contract was awarded to Taborda Solutions Inc.
  • $1,297,437 for HP Ultrabook notebooks in a June 1 contract NWN Solutions Corp.
  • $540,333 for OpenGov Data Portal in a three-year contract with Global Blue DVBE that runs through July 30, 2026.
  • $214,323 for “RHA-6410S-02 - r6410s Appliance, 4-node, 120TB raw HDD, 1.6TB SSD, 10GBase-T NIC” in a June 2 contract with Optm West.
  • $163,941 for Dell PowerEdge rack servers in a May 16 contract with PC Specialists Inc.
