University of California San Diego Health (UCSDH) is seeking information from vendors as it considers replacing its talent management system.

UCSDH’s Human Resources Department currently uses a “highly customized” implementation of SumTotal’s Talent Management Platform for all talent performance evaluations, but anticipates increased use of the system. It’s published a request for information (RFI) seeking input on other talent management technology.

To meet that need, UCSDH is looking for a platform that can handle, for about 20,000 users across the entire health system:
  • Probationary reviews
  • Annual reviews
  • Continuous feedback
  • One-to-one journals
  • Providing recognition
The RFI asks many detailed questions. They cover — to name a few areas — platform features, user experience and interface, integration and compatibility, support, training, implementation, scalability, customization, security and analytics.

More detailed information for RFI SV-2024-048 is available on CalUsource. The deadline to respond to the RFI is 4 p.m. Aug. 21. The contact for the solicitation is Lauren DeLeon.

UCSDH operates four hospitals with more than 1,700 faculty members and 3,000-plus students, postdoctorates, residents and fellows.
