The project leader for Alpha, the sprint to transform the state website, discussed helping residents find what they need.

Alpha project leader Angelica B. Quirarte, assistant secretary for digital engagement for the California Government Operations Agency (GovOps), talked with Techwire about the ongoing alpha.ca.gov sprint to transform the state website — and how that’s influenced by resident needs.

Most people use search engines, and one reason is because government websites can be cumbersome, Quirarte said. The Alpha project, which began in December, is now about 10 weeks along.
