Tanium & CIS Launch a Partnership

Tanium partners with the Center for Internet Security to help agencies gain unprecedented visibility and control over their IT environment.

CIS and Tanium Partnership

Public sector leaders are increasingly reliant on technology to meet the needs of their staff and citizens, as well as comply with state and local mandates to mitigate the spread of the virus. The sudden shift to remote work was something no organization saw coming, and many were unprepared for such a rapid change. Looking forward, remote work will remain essential, which raises security concerns as networks extend beyond the firewall and malicious actors turn their sights on the government.

In collaboration with the Center for Internet Security (CIS), Tanium and CIS are working to educate and empower agencies with the right tools to solve their most challenging cybersecurity initiatives.

As members of the CIS SecureSuite, Tanium:

  • Certifies through CIS that the Tanium Comply service accurately evaluates and reports on CIS Benchmarks.
  • Integrates CIS Benchmarks and Controls content into our security service offering(s).
As members of the CIS CyberMarket, Tanium:

  • Offers MS-ISAC and EI-ISAC members a complimentary gap assessment, which provides visibility into the health of your IT environment. The assessment helps your organization understand the state of its endpoints, identify critical gaps, and provide a cyber risk score. It will assist your organization with developing an actionable path to better endpoint management and security.
  • Provides MS-ISAC and EI-ISAC members a variety of endpoint security management solutions at exclusive discounted rates.
We are in the new “Age of the Endpoint” with a distributed workforce and major security concerns around increasing cyberattacks. Fortunately, state and local governments have an opportunity to remedy these concerns through the $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF). As part of the CARES Act, the CRF may be used to cover all reasonable expenses related to COVID-19, including the purchase of necessary IT solutions to support the security and productivity of staff working from home.

Tanium has created educational resources to help agencies navigate the CARES Act funding. Check out the resources here!
