CA Dept of Technology Offers Free Cloudflare for Your CA.gov

The California Dept of Technology has teamed up with Cloudflare to protect the security and performance of all CA.gov public-facing websites at no cost to state departments, agencies, or offices.

  • DNS Services - A managed DNS service for all sites, offering faster response times and advanced security against DNS based
  • Web Application Firewall - Cloudflare managed rulesets to protect against SQL injections, cross-site scripting, zero-day attacks, AI audit and more, as well as a robust rules engine for custom firewall rules
  • Content Delivery Network (CDN) - Cache website content on Cloudflare’s network to serve users faster to the included CF services
  • DMARC Management - Track every source that is sending emails from your domain
  • Rate Limiting - Define specific rate limits to protect endpoints on your sites
  • SSL/TLS (Universal + Advanced) - Cloudflare managed or customer provided certificates for TLS termination
