The Role: Elevate AMD’s Presence in Public Sector Technology
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive to spearhead AMD’s initiatives within State and Local Government, Higher Education, and K-12 School Districts. This highly visible role involves developing business strategies, managing key relationships, and formulating Go-to-Market plans to increase the adoption of AMD’s client, server, and graphics products across the public sector.
What You Will Do:
- Establish & Expand Key Relationships: Build strong partnerships with state and local agencies, school districts, and universities to drive awareness and adoption of AMD solutions.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Utilize strategic account planning and opportunity management to increase market penetration with OEM and reseller partners.
- Lead Bid & Contract Efforts: Support OEM and partner responses to public sector acquisition contracts and set industry specifications.
- Enable Partner & OEM Sales Teams: Provide training on AMD’s messaging, product value, and differentiators to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Achieve & Exceed Targets: Consistently meet annual and quarterly sales and market share quotas through a well-developed pipeline of opportunities.
- Collaborate with Industry Leaders: Work closely with OEM partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and reseller networks to create strong alliances and expand AMD’s influence.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a self-driven, strategic, and results-oriented professional with:
- Proven Sales & Business Development Experience in the Public Sector, with a strong understanding of acquisition contracts and government programs.
- Strong Communication & Executive Presence to effectively engage with key decision-makers at all levels.
- Hunter Mentality & Analytical Approach with the ability to generate leads, identify trends, and develop growth strategies.
- Ability to Work Independently & Remotely while maintaining a high level of productivity and collaboration.
- Willingness to Travel (50%) within the designated region to meet with clients and partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Public Sector Sales or Business Development, with experience in contract negotiations and execution.
- Knowledge of GTM strategies and a track record of success working with OEM partners and resellers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
