The massive business transformation project – one of the largest-ever for the state – will change functions in budgeting, accounting, procurement and cash management. Once completed, FI$Cal will allow state systems and staff to operate in an integrated financial management system.
But FI$Cal’s approaching deadlines and systems work could be a challenge for some state departments. So, M Corp – a Sacramento-based company that has completed more than 20 major projects for the state, and about 120 projects overall – is ready to help.
M Corp will hold a free FI$Cal Readiness presentation for state of California employees to address questions and outline what is needed 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Crocker Art Museum in downtown Sacramento. The presentation, given by CEO Alex Castro, will include:
- A brief overview of FISCal
- Functionality and review of the schedule
- Required inputs and outputs
- Lessons learned from the first wave of FI$Cal
- Departmental challenges
- Assessing readiness
- A detailed approach to getting ready
