Job Overview:


As a Sales Director for the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth within the targeted sector. Your primary focus will be to establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in state and local government agencies, educational institutions, and related organizations. You will lead a team of sales professionals and collaborate closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure the successful promotion and adoption of our solutions within the SLED market.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives for the SLED market segment.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performance sales team, providing guidance, support, and regular performance evaluations to ensure the achievement of individual and team sales targets.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts and establish strong relationships with C-level executives, procurement officers, and other decision-makers within the SLED sector.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitive activities, utilizing this knowledge to drive the development of innovative sales approaches and product positioning strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and sales collateral that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services to the SLED market.
  • Coordinate with the product development team to gather insights and feedback from clients, facilitating the enhancement and customization of solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of the SLED sector.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to the executive leadership team, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and
  • growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness, generate new leads and sales, and foster strategic partnerships within the SLED market.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of seven (07) years of experience in SLED sales, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth within the sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve outstanding results.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SLED market landscape, including the regulatory environment, procurement processes, and key decision-making factors influencing purchasing decisions within government agencies and educational institutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic planning abilities, with a keen eye for identifying market opportunities and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Proficient in utilizing sales management tools to track progress, manage leads, and streamline the sales process.
