Link Americas Foundation Announces Call for Nominations for LINK Awards 2013

The LINK AMERICAS™ Foundation (LAF) announces the Call for Nominations for the LINK Awards 2013.  This year’s Awards recognize visionary change agents who are advancing digital literacy in areas of Life, Information, Nature, Knowledge (LINK). Recipients will be selected on contributions to advancing digital literacy by:

Demonstrating innovation and creativity,
Overcoming challenges and degrees of difficulty,
Displaying extraordinary magnitude of effort; and
Showcasing models that serve as best practices or scalable project.

Elements considered in the selection of the recipients may include:

Impact on policies (local, national, global) that advance digital literacy.
Sustainability and scalability of initiative.
Collaboration  resulting in models that are replicable or adaptable globally.

Award Categories

LIFE Award:

Health, entertainment, social media and mobile applications of digital literacy that improve peoples’ lives.

INFORMATION Award:

Innovative technologies, applications, and projects that enhance access to digital literacy.

 NATURE Award:

Applications or projects that promote use of digital literacy skills to better understand how to conserve, improve, and sustain our natural resources and the environment.

 KNOWLEDGE Award:

Education, workforce training, public and/or private sector policy development initiatives that advances digital literacy skills building.
