Nov. 16: Latino Sports Outreach to Hold First Annual Charity Poker Tournament

The Latino Sports Outreach (LSO) is holding its first annual Charity Poker Tournament on November 16th at Skybox Grill & Bar, on the corner of 21st and L Street, Midtown Sacramento.   The event is hosted by Brekken Technology.

Come join Carlos Ramos, LSO Scholarship Committee Chair, and our Master of Ceremonies Barney Gomez at this fun event!   Go to http://www.latinosportsoutreach.org/fundraiser.html to sign up now, as seating is limited.

LSO is a locally-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing access to high-level sports to underprivileged youth.

LSO has been integrally involved in the lives of many local athletes, enabling them to pursue their athletic dreams, in exchange for excellence in the classroom as well as on the field of play.  LSO provides scholarships that enable talented, promising, and underprivileged Latino youth to participate in advanced athletic programs, such as local and regional youth competitive soccer leagues.  These scholarships are granted not only to facilitate youth participation in family and community activities, but also to build character, discipline, commitment, and responsibility for the next generation of leaders.  These are skills that can be transferred from the athletic field to the classroom and beyond, as well as preparing young people to compete successfully in life.

See www.LatinoSportsOutreach.org for more information about the LSO community outreach program.
