(TrinityTG), a leader in innovative technology solutions for the State of California, announced today that the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) has chosen to execute the two optional 1-year extensions available to them from the current contract. These extensions to provide maintenance and operational support for the Medi-Cal Managed Care Capitation Management System (CAPMAN) are worth up to $8 million over a two-year period.
Since going into production in July 2011, CAPMAN has supported more than a 133 percent increase in Medi-Cal managed care, from 4.5 million members in July 2011 to 10.5 million in April 2016. Over the last 12 months, CAPMAN calculated and communicated payments to managed care plans in excess of $42 billion.
