Sponsor Update: Deloitte Team co-sponsors Tug McGraw Foundation – fStop Warrior project, continuing their commitment to veteran causes in CA

On June 10, the State of California Deloitte Team sponsored the Tug McGraw Foundation fStop Warrior Project. Philip Brozenick, Chairman of the Board for the Vetfund Foundation, represented the Deloitte Team during the event which supports wounded warriors’ recovery and transition through creative self-expression using the art of digital photography. Prior to the main program and reception, an official unveiling took place at the Capitol, including opening words from Assemblyman Rocky Chavez, Vice Chair of the Veteran’s Affairs Committee. Many senior legislative representatives as well as many other vendor partners attended the unveiling. After an afternoon tour of the Capitol sponsored by leaders of the Assembly and Senate, an evening reception was held that was also attended by community, corporate and political leaders.

In continued support of veterans programs, on Deloitte’s National IMPACT Day, Deloitte staff delivered a skills-based workshop to 100 veterans on how to vision and plan a small business. Councilmember Darrell Fong attended with Chief of Staff Noah Painter. In addition, Assemblymember Richard Pan will provide certifications for Deloitte Volunteers and Cal Vet participants.  In Southern California, the Deloitte LA office worked with the LA Veterans Collaborative,  developed by the University of Southern California’s Center for Research and Innovation for Veterans and Military Families, to help them learn more about relationship-building, growing networks and enhancing brand awareness.
