Technology Industry to Play Poker for Charity on Nov. 16

Latino Sports Outreach (LSO) is proud to announce the 2nd Annual LSO Charity Poker Tournament.  This event promotes awareness and advances our mission of providing athletic and leadership development opportunities to underprivileged youth in the Sacramento region through player scholarships.   This year, we expand opportunities to contribute by offering two Sponsorship tiers,  Platinum, and Gold.

LSO caters to one of the many underserved populations in our community. LSO provides scholarships that enable talented, promising, and underprivileged Latino youth to participate in advanced athletic programs, such as local and regional youth competitive soccer leagues.  These scholarships are granted not only to facilitate youth participation in family and community activities, but also to build character, discipline, commitment, and responsibility for the next generation of leaders.  These are skills that can be transferred from the athletic field to the classroom and beyond, as well as preparing young people to compete successfully in life.

The Hold’em Poker benefit will be held this November at River City Brewing Company in the Downtown Plaza, 545 Downtown Plaza, Suite 1115, Sacramento, CA 95814 on Sunday, November 16th, 2014.  River City Brewing Company is one of Sacramento’s oldest microbreweries, and won 1st place in the 2014 State Fair for their Woodenhead Ale.   Catering is provided by Dad’s Kitchen, who will be sure to surprise and please those in attendance. Visit the LSO website to signup as a sponsor or player.
