Update: Tim Garza and Tony Morshed to Speak at Tech-Education Event on VMware 2015 Impact on State’s IT

California Natural Resources Agency IT Director Tim Garza and Department of Water Resources Chief Technology Officer Tony Morshed have just been added to the agenda for the February 18 Tech-Education Event presented by Enterprise Networking Solutions, Inc. (ENS-Inc). The seminar will address the latest updates, new products, and strategies introduced by VMware for 2015 and how they impact California government’s IT and data centers.

Dennis Bray, CTO of ENS-Inc and certified VMware trainer, will present information from the 2015 VMware Partner Exchange. Dennis will provide valuable insight and training for State IT teams, drawn from his extensive experience architecting and implementing numerous complex and mission-critical virtualization projects for California agencies.

Tim Garza and Tony Morshed will then discuss their  strategic plan and tactical approach as it relates to the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) strategies and direction for the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) which incorporates VMware as a vital element to the CNRA share-services and  cloud integrations.

Tim Garza is the IT Director for the California Natural Resources Agency, which consists of thirty-three California departments, conservancies, commissions, and boards, who mission is to restore, protect and manage the state’s natural, historical and cultural resources for current and future generations using creative approaches and solutions based on technology, science, and collaboration. Mr. Garza is also the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Water Resources that manages the U.S. largest water delivery system which serves the people of California.

Mr. Garza has over 35 years of Information Technology experience providing a full range of technology and business engineering leadership and services to both public sector departments and private sectors companies. He is a dynamic leader with a passion for helping organizations improve their business performance and achieve their goals and objectives through the use of innovative technologies.Tony Morshed is the Chief Technology Officer for the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and has over 25 years of experience supporting and managing large IT operations. His current duties include managing the DWR virtualized Data Center and the California Natural Resource Agency multi-tenant private cloud environment that provides information technology resources and shared-services to twenty-nine Natural Resources Agency organizations.
