Jamil Niazi had planned to join the city of Vallejo, but Industry Insider — California has learned he will remain with Stockton.

The city’s chief information officer, Jamil Niazi, is excited to begin using Nautilus Data Technologies’ floating data center in the Port of Stockton for its data backup and disaster recovery.

“After pondering several competitive offers for similar roles, I chose the city of Stockton because of its executive leadership and its passion and vision for technology,” Jamil Niazi told Industry Insider — California.
