With former California Conservation Corps CIO Rita Gass now occupying the same position at the Secretary of State's Office, the Corps has reorganized its leadership as it continues to work on a replacement for its legacy ERP system.

Retired annuitant Denise Warren has been temporarily appointed as Corps' CIO until the "C3" project is completed, and Joe White has taken over the project director role for the C3 project. White previously was the Corps' information security officer and infrastructure manager.

The C3 project is replacing the Automated Data Collection and Reporting System (CADCARS), a legacy environment design built in the 1980s, with a new Salesforce-based system. The $8.1 million project is expected to be done later in 2016.

The system integrator is Global Touchpoints Inc. Touchpoints has partnered with SaaSFocus, a Salesforce Gold Cloud Alliance Partner.

Matt Williams was Managing Editor of Techwire from June 2014 through May 2017.
