  • On Dec. 20, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved a $20,000 purchase order, issued to Taser, Inc. Under the agreement, which will run from Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2021, the company will provide the county software licenses to use Evidence.com, a website that allows law enforcement to share case information with other agencies.
  • The board also approved modifications to a purchase order with IBM, who provides computer servers to the District Attorney’s data center. The changes increase the agreement from $102,000 to $137,000, and extend the term from Jan. 1 to Aug. 31 next year.
  • Los Angeles County Acting CIO Peter Loo recommended the Board of Supervisors approve money from the county’s IT fund for an agreement with Carahsoft Technology Corp. to acquire GovDelivery’s Digital Communication Software, according to the board’s Dec. 20 meeting agenda. The acquisition would be executed through the California Multiple Awards Schedules contract for a maximum of three years with up to two options for one-year extensions, and a county obligation of more than $1.6 million.
  • Loo also recommended the Director of Health Services extend an agreement with MModal Services Ltd. for three years, through June 30, 2020. MModal will provide three additional software modules and two interfaces for radiology transcription for an estimated cost of $3.5 million. The amendment also includes two one-year extension options.
  • The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors approved a $108,072 purchase order with Integrated Archive Systems to renew a Cisco Smartnet maintenance agreement for Cisco switches and network infrastructure. The agreement was made on behalf of the chief information officer of the Department of Information Technology, and will be for the period Oct. 5, 2016, through Nov. 30, 2017.
