An Austin-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) company is expanding operations after securing new customers in transportation, transit, local government and other areas within the public sector.

Aurigo Software, a capital planning and construction management software provider, is expanding operations by adding new positions in services, sales and marketing at its Austin headquarters.

To provide a bit of context, one of the company's notable customers includes Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

As for the company's expansion, Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and founder of Aurigo Software, said the company’s new growth is in part due to funding from the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) passed in November 2021.

“Funding from the IIJA is starting to flow, and public agencies are looking for the right long-term partner to support their business process and field technology needs,” said Sreenivasan in a release. “For this historic bill to be a success, owners need modern tools to plan, get feedback on, and deliver their capital programs safely and effectively.”

To assist owners during this process, Sreenivasan said, “we’re building the right team of experts here at Aurigo to help our customers make the most of these capital investments.”

So far, the company has added more than a dozen positions within its professional services team, which oversees implementing and training customers on the software.

Moving forward, the company plans to add more positions in customer success and technical support as more customers come on board and also looks to expand sales and marketing.
