Bryan Jones has joined Black Duck as regional sales manager for the company's State, Local and Education Central territory.

Jones brings more than 15 years of sales and account management experience across public-sector, enterprise and commercial markets. He joined Black Duck in May after serving as an account executive for major state and local government and education accounts at Fortinet.

Based in Austin, he was responsible for developing strategic account plans for the state of Texas, building relationships with government technology buyers and coordinating bid responses and contract negotiations.

“What drew me to Black Duck is the chance to help public sector teams build software that’s secure from the start, and that’s a mission I want to be part of," Jones told Industry Insider — Texas. "I’ve spent a lot of my career sitting across the table from state agencies, universities and their technology leaders, and I’ve learned that the best outcomes come from listening first. I’m bringing that approach to the Texas territory, and I see this role as a place to keep growing, both for the customers I serve and for the Texans they serve.”
