CapMetro Greenlights $4.5M in Tech Contracts

CapMetro’s Board of Directors on Feb. 23 approved four technology-related contract actions covering rail crossing monitoring, enterprise software, transit police communications and cybersecurity licensing.

The board unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included three technology contract actions worth about $3.8 million total. Those items included a contract with Convergint Technologies LLC to install cameras at 67 rail crossings and two rail control points, in an amount not to exceed $747,165.

The consent package also included a contract with Tyler Technologies for enterprise permitting and licensing software implementation plus licensing, maintenance and support, with a base term of one year and four option years, for a total amount not to exceed $796,180.

Directors also approved a contract modification with Motorola Solutions Inc. to purchase additional hand radios, mobile radios and radio consoles for the CapMetro Transit Police Department, bringing the revised total to an amount not to exceed $2.2 million.

Separately, the board approved a contract with The eConsortium Group for renewal of a Cisco Security Enterprise Agreement for a five-year term, in a total amount not to exceed $719,088.
