The city of Denison is looking to implement a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for its remote water and wastewater facilities.
Denison’s budget for Fiscal Year 2025 includes a $4 million utility fund, which includes the water and wastewater treatment divisions.
The city’s request for qualifications (RFQ) calls for an integrator to design and install a replacement for the city’s current system, a “Control by Web” product that is expected to function for the duration of the implementation project, with a human machine interface (HMI) software package.
The current system lacks key monitoring parameters that must be addressed by proposed solutions.
The city requires the SCADA and HMI to provide historical data collection, refined trending, secure remote access, a standby failover server, three view nodes and a virtual private network connection for remote access.
More detailed information about this RFQ, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. Questions must be sent to the point of contact, Fanchon Stearns. The due date for submissions is 3 p.m. March 18.
