The city of Pflugerville has issued a request for information (RFI) from broadband providers on plans to expand high-speed service to residents and local businesses.

The RFI serves as an avenue for vendors to express interest in applying for Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) grant funds to deploy service to Pflugerville communities.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in May announced $3.9 billion in BEAD program funds to be awarded through the Broadband Development Office. Successful applicants can receive a maximum grant of $500 million for eligible projects.

The city previously requested an evaluation of its broadband needs in July 2024.

More detailed information about RFI No. 2025-023, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. Questions will be accepted via email to projects@pflugervilletx.gov until 2 p.m. June 13. The due date for submissions is 2 p.m. June 30.
