Collin College Seeks Accessibility Software Solutions

The Collin College public community college district is searching for accessibility software, such as closed captioning and alternative format generation programs.

According to the district’s request for proposals (RFP), Collin College requires proposed software to be integrable with the Canvas learning management system, secured with single sign-on authentication and support about 14,000 course shells a year.

The requested software includes screen readers, closed captions, keyboard navigation, real-time document remediation, accessible alternative format generation, math accessibility engines, science accessibility engines and integrated analytic tools.

The district will also require 24/7 administrative access, training for faculty and administrators, access to ongoing support and troubleshooting resources.

More detailed information about RFP No. FY2025-RFP-030, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will take place at 10 a.m. July 15. Questions can be submitted until 2 p.m. July 17. The due date for submissions is 3 p.m. July 22.
