Collin County’s Commissioners Court on March 16 approved a $191,000 firewall support renewal and a separate memorandum of understanding for electronic recording services.
The firewall action authorizes an agreement with Dell Marketing LP for Palo Alto firewall support tied to county data center network access. Agenda materials from the county’s Information Technology Department say the firewall is part of Collin County’s layered cybersecurity strategy and monitors network traffic while providing threat protection and URL filtering for the county’s public and virtual private network environments. The term runs from April 22, 2026, through April 21, 2027.
Commissioners also approved a memorandum of understanding with Hopdox LLC for electronic recording services, allowing the county to offer eRecording alongside its paper-based document processes.
The agreement describes Hopdox as a third-party service that enables eligible entities such as title companies, attorneys and banks to submit recordable documents electronically to government records offices. County materials say the arrangement is intended to support secure, accurate and timely electronic document submissions.
