Comptroller Seeking Broadband Grant Management Program

The state was allocated $3.3 billion under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for high-speed Internet infrastructure deployment through the Broadband Equity, Access and Development program.

The Comptroller of Public Accounts has issued a pre-solicitation notice for the development, implementation and management of the state’s Broadband Equity, Access and Development (BEAD) grant management program.

The program will be managed under a work plan approved by the Broadband Development Office (BDO), which received $5 million in the state budget to promote and manage broadband programs for the biennium.

Through the BEAD program, which was authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the state was allocated $3.3 billion for high-speed Internet infrastructure deployment, the largest of any state.
