CPS Energy Requests Arc Flash Analysis Software Information

The municipal gas and electric utility of San Antonio is seeking software capable of identifying potential approach distance hazards.

CPS Energy of San Antonio has issued a request for information (RFI) for arc flash analysis software.

According to the RFI, the energy utility requires software “with the ability to conduct arc flash studies to identify potential approach distance hazards for substation-type equipment and violations with safety regulations.”

Solutions must follow IEEE standards and be capable of performing arc flash studies for voltages between 15kV and 354kV.
