CPS Energy of San Antonio is looking for a vendor partner capable of providing self-optimizing grid (SOG) implementation services.

The chosen vendor will be expected to provide project management, budgeting, performance tracking, technical expertise and vendor management services.

The request entails an evaluation of CPS’ current electric grid modernization portfolio development, identifying key development projects, developing a comprehensive road map and implementation strategy for grid modernization, assessing the current state of the grid, and facilitating the successful deployments of all requested initiatives.

CPS lists 15 specific initiatives as part of its SOG road map, which includes a supervisory control and data acquisition system transformation, achieving net zero by retiring fossil generation by 2050, enhancing communication systems, modernizing legacy applications, migrating to a modern enterprise resource planning platform and more.
