CPS Energy Seeks Communication System Engineering Services

The San Antonio energy utility is requesting engineering services in preparation for an expansion of its communication systems.

The city of San Antonio is seeking engineering services for the development of CPS Energy’s communication systems.

According to a request for qualifications (RFQ) released by the city on behalf of the energy utility, the requested services “will be mainly in the areas of outside cable plant, radio system communications, communications facilities and expansion of communications systems used within our facilities.”

CPS Energy requires the following engineering services:
  • Providing engineering drawings for communications systems
  • Reviewing proposed and existing systems designs
  • Providing infrastructure expansion recommendations
  • Assisting in the development of technical specifications
  • Integrating drafting services with existing geographic systems
  • Augmenting existing engineering staff

A non-mandatory pre-qualification meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. Questions related to this request are due to the procurement agent by 5 p.m. Oct. 24. The deadline for responses is 3 p.m. Nov. 7.
