Dallas College Names Russ Pearlman as CIO

The new Dallas College chief information officer previously served as CIO at Creighton University in Omaha for nearly six years.

Dallas College has named Russ Pearlman as its new chief information officer.

Pearlman previously served as CIO at Creighton University in Omaha for nearly six years. Pearlman has also provided legal counsel for Dallas-based technology law firm Hosch & Morris.

Pearlman boasts nearly 20 years of industry experience, with notable roles such as principal at Capgemini and IT chief positions at Merkle and Toyota.

His educational background includes a bachelor’s in both biology and computer science from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), a master’s in computer science from WashU and a juris doctor from Southern Methodist University.

"As a lifelong resident of Dallas and a passionate advocate for higher education, I am thrilled to join Dallas College as its chief information officer,” Pearlman told Industry Insider. “I am excited to apply my experience in technology leadership to support the growing workforce needs of our vibrant city, ensuring that our students, faculty and staff have the innovative tools they need to succeed."
