The school needs service at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland colleges. The project includes newly established vertical and horizontal, SM fiber and copper backbone and horizontal infrastructure cabling pathways.

Dallas College has recently completed an MER/TR upgrade at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland colleges. The project includes newly established vertical and horizontal, SM fiber and copper backbone and horizontal infrastructure cabling pathways.

The college has posted a request for bid that will award one or multiple suppliers a service agreement for voice and data, cable installation, moves, adds and changes. The term of the contract is one year with two additional one-year options.

The college is making plans to move forward with an MER/TR IDF upgrade project at El Centro and its other locations. If this occurs within this contracted time, then the locations that have completed the MER/TR IDF upgrade at these locations will fall under the same guidelines: Job orders will be issued for each effort for response time, cost or at Dallas College’s discretion. Purchase orders will be issued per job. The order quantity is up to $500,000 per year.

The contact person is Eire Currie, senior procurement analyst, at (972) 860-7947.

The deadline for bids is 2 p.m. July 20.
