The city of Dallas is searching for vendors specializing in redesigning public-facing websites for state and local governments.
In a request for information (RFI), the city specifies its need for a customer service-focused website tailored to residents, visitors, developers and business owners. Public-facing Dallas websites are due for modernization, including both the city’s homepage and those that are department specific.
The city seeks vendors capable of design, developing revised architecture, migrating existing content and providing relevant service-based functionalities. About 6,000 pages and documents are currently maintained on the city’s websites.
Vendors that offer user testing, content auditing, analytics integration and quality assurance are also encouraged to respond.
The city’s vision for its redesigned website is one that is mobile-first, search engine optimized, ADA compliant, integrated with social media and translatable into languages common in Dallas.
The website must include a content management system, page-specific alerts, a calendar, media, news, a user management system, page scheduling, email client integration and a broken link checker.
More detailed information about RFI No. BA25-00027692, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. A virtual pre-solicitation meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. May 19. The due date for questions is 5 p.m. May 23. Submissions are due 1 p.m. June 6.
